Over the forthcoming half-term holiday, new catering providers will be ‘moving in’ and getting set up ready to start serving OSA staff and students when we return, after the week’s holiday, on 28th February. VERTAS’ Head of Educational Catering, Karen Pardoe, has this message for OSA parents, carers and students, in advance of the changeover:
“National Facilities Management (FM) company, Vertas are looking forward to providing the catering at Ormiston Sudbury Academy after the half term break and working in partnership with the academy. As part of the new contract, Vertas Group will create a range of menus that offer the right nutritional balance to boost children’s development, behaviour, and ability to learn. It will also feature plant-based foods from local suppliers, to reduce their carbon footprint. Vertas Group hope that their commitment to protect the environment will inspire pupils to enjoy even healthier meals that are just as tasty.
In addition, Vertas Group have a dedicated Development Chef, Kim Murray to hand-craft menus and enhance nutritional education at the academies and she will be working alongside the catering team on the 28th February and 1st March. Vertas are very pleased that Ormiston Sudbury Academy has chosen Vertas Group to transform its education catering offer, and we look forward to making the difference as our partnership continues to grow.”
The cashless, iPayimpact, payment system will not be changing and procedures for adding credit to your child’s account, or making payment for trips etc. will remain the same.
