Seeking contributions of food for the ‘Storehouse Foodbank’ this Christmas

Posted on: 28th November 2017

OSA is supporting the Storehouse Foodbank’, organised by the ‘Stour Valley Vineyard Church’ (that now has its offices on the Academy site, in the former Vocational building, next to our Arts Centre), with its collection of items to provide food parcels for families experiencing financial hardship, particularly over the Christmas period.

We would like to ask OSA families to consider donating an item for one of these food parcels, to be distributed to some of the less fortunate families in the area. We have collection boxes for contributions in our Reception area and in our ICT Office (where students can drop off donations during the Academy day).  Suggested items which are particularly good for the purpose are listed on line here and include things like ‘meals in a tin’, tinned vegetables/fruit, sealed packs of pasta/rice, toiletries, ‘treats’ (such as biscuits, squash drink) or any seasonal items (e.g. Christmas crackers).

We hope you will be able to support this extremely worthwhile cause and thank you in an advance for your food contributions, which can be dropped off at our Reception any time between 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.
