THE ACADEMY IS NOW CLOSED but……
Posted on: 23rd July 2020
….. as always, if you have an urgent query over the holiday, you will be able to contact the Principal via the Academy email address (email@example.com) and most staff will be periodically checking their emails – so if your query isn’t too urgent, you may wish to contact them direct (using their individual email addresses – as listed on our ‘staffing’ page on the website.
We can’t wait to welcome our incoming (NEW!) year 7 students on Thursday 3rd September, when they will have the Academy to themselves for their first day as Ormiston Sudbury Academy (OSA) students – complete with their new OSA uniform😀); the rest of our students will be returning on Friday 4th September.
Sixth Form results will be issued on Thursday 13th August; Year 11 GCSE results will be issued on Thursday 20th August (information about this has previously been circulated – see copy letters on our website here). YEAR 11 LEAVERS’ HOODIES may be collected on 20th August – and there will also be an opportunity for students to collect the (bagged) contents of their lockers; having had only 2 days notice of closure, many students did not get the opportunity to empty their lockers before they left the building for the last time. (Any items not collected will be sorted and donations of useable items will be sent to one of the town’s charity shops by October half-term.)
There will be further guidance on September’s ‘return’ to the Academy shortly after the GCSE results day (20th August) once we have had the opportunity to make any adjustments which may be required as a result of the Government’s latest announcement (which is due on 11th August) – so keep an eye on your email inboxes (or postboxes!) and our Facebook page / website for a communication from us around 21st/22nd August.
We wish all our staff, students, parents/carers and families a safe summer break – hoping everyone stays well – and we can’t wait to begin a return to more ‘normal’ arrangements in September.
