At various times throughout the year there will be occasions when one or more OSA students is involved in a trip, activity, workshop, celebration, sporting fixture or a promotional or other ‘event’ at which it is likely that photographs will be taken.  When appropriate, we like to share a little information about such events and would occasionally like to be able to use some of the photographs (or maybe even video) for wall displays within the Academy, in our Prospectus publication, to post on our Website, Facebook/Twitter feed or to share with the local Press; this requires us to know precisely what parent/carer wishes are with regards the use of their child(ren)’s image(s).

Tutors have already handed out – to all students – a printed copy of our ‘Photo/Video Permissions Form’, on which, a parent/carer with Parental Responsibility is asked to indicate their preferences and sign to confirm these; a copy of our OAT Photography and Video Policy is available on the policy page of our website along with both a WORD and PDF version of the consent form, should you need a copy.  It is imperative that we have a return for every child on roll at the Academy (this includes Sixth Form students); please check with your child that they have handed in YOUR return as we have only received around 60 out of the 725 which have been handed out!

Before ANY student can participate in sporting clubs, fixtures and events, an additional consent for is required from parents; the Consent and Contributions for extra-curricular PE/Sporting activities and fixtures form may be found here)   A printed copy of this form will be distributed to all students (along with the Principal’s ‘Welcome’  letter) on Monday 9th September; those involved in the Year 11 Boys’ Football fixture on Tuesday 10th September will receive their copy TODAY.
