We have reached the time of year – again – where parents/carers of children in year 6, at primary school, are having to consider their options for where to send their child when they transition to secondary school in September 2022; it can often seem VERY early for those individuals to have to make a choice, before the end of October, when their child has only just moved into year 6!
In order to allow parents to experience a little taste of life at Ormiston Sudbury Academy, we will be offering daily tours at 9.30am, and tours at 11am on each day except Thursday, during the week commencing Monday 4th October. Booking for these tours is essential as, being mindful of the need to continue to minimise the risk of COVID infection, we have to restrict the number of people in each tour to 10 individuals. (The wearing of masks will be optional; we hope that all visitors will continue to use the hand sanitiser provided for them on arrival.)
To book your space on one of these tours, please contact our Reception team on 01787 375131; you will be asked for your name, contact telephone number (in case of an emergency which requires us to cancel/postpone the tour) and the number of tour spaces you wish to book. We would also be grateful for your year 6 child(ren)’s name and their current primary school, as an early indicator for us of local schools, outside of those we regularly work with, with whom we may need to ensure ‘transition’ liaison in the summer term of 2022.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Academy to see our facilities, staff and students ‘in action’, during a normal academy day; we were unable to hold ‘in person’ tours last year, due to the COVID pandemic, and we are delighted to be able to start a return to more ‘normal’ operations for this year!
