The immunisation team have asked that we share the information below with parents/carers and members of the wider community, with students from year 8 upwards. If you have, or know someone with, a child who has, so far, missed out on some of the usual vaccinations, please consider contacting the team via the ‘phone number below, to book in for the COMMUNITY session on 6th April (or see details of session for OSA students (years 9-11) ONLY, on 17th April, here)
As a result of the Covid pandemic there are many young people who have missed out on important vaccinations. The Suffolk Community and School Age Immunisation Team is working very hard to clear this backlog. This includes HPV vaccinations (both doses) which are offered in Year 8 and Meningitis ACWY, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio which are offered in Year 9.
As well as our school-based sessions we also offer community-based clinics.
We will be in Sudbury on Thursday 6th April 2023 at Phoenix Family Hub, Tudor Road, Sudbury CO10 1NP for booked appointments only
Please contact the team on 0300 555 5055 option 3 if you would like to book an appointment or have a query about your child’s vaccination history.
As well as this clinic we offer regular clinics in Ipswich (Wednesday) and Bury St Edmunds (Tuesday) as well as other parts of the County during the holidays.
Further information about vaccines is available Vaccinations – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
