Government announcement re: school/academy closure (and students’ learning during that time)

Posted on: 5th January 2021

Following last night’s Government announcement that schools are to close again, we have worked hard today, and will continue to do so over the coming weeks, to revise and expand our existing plans for students’ ongoing learning.  Messages and updates will be communicated via our website (here), our social media feeds and via emails to our students and their families.  We understand that this is a very difficult time for all – with the Government’s decision being announced at 8pm the day before many families were anticipating their children returning to school after the Christmas break; we will continue to do our utmost to  support as much as possible during this new period of closure.
Details of the planned phased introduction of ‘live’ and ‘remote’ learning for students, over the coming weeks of closure, are now being emailed out to parents/carers. A copy of the letter is also available on our website, here
