Posted on: 7th December 2020

MONDAY 7TH DECEMBER:  Following her receipt of a notification, this morning, of a positive COVID case at the Academy, the Principal arranged for all year 8 parents/carers to be contacted (by ‘phone and/or email) and all year 8 students were collected from the Academy this morning (Monday 7th December).

A letter was emailed to all year 8 parents/carers (where we have an email address registered) ONLY and this was also published on our website and publicised via social media; that letter may be found here

A further letter was emailed (as above) and published on our website/social media, advising that from tomorrow (Tuesday 8th December) we will commence our ‘remote’ and ‘live’ learning programme for year 8 lessons/learning; this will continue until the end of term and a copy of that letter may be found here (and the timetable of lessons referred to within the letter is available here)

Parents/Carers of students in all OTHER year groups were also contacted by email (again, where we have and email address registered) and, again, this was also published on our website and publicised via social media; that letter may be found here

We would like to thank all students and their parents/carers for their support for, understanding of and compliance with these actions/arrangements, which are taken/made in accordance with the guidance and expectation of the Department for Education, Public Health England and Ormiston Academies Trust.
