If you need to find out what travel options are available, visit www.suffolkonboard.com here you will find a journey planner that will show you the bus services available.
You can also apply for an Endeavour Card that will give you at least 25% discount with most bus operators and information about the transport schools and colleges provide. These options may be cheaper than what is available from Suffolk County Council.
If your nearest College or 6th form is over three miles, the County Council can offer transport at a cost of £750 per year. If you wish to study a more specialist subject that is not available at your nearest 6th form or college, applications will be considered for transport on an individual exceptional basis. Check if you are entitled by looking at the Post-16 Travel Policy Statement for 2019/20 at www.suffolkonboard.com/school-travel/
If this is the cheapest option for you and you want to apply for a seat on our transport, you must do so between 1 April and 31 May 2019. Don’t worry if you are not sure if you will get the results you need, apply anyway and if anything changes, we can change your destination or cancel your request. You will not need to pay for your ticket until we confirm your seat in August.
